Anatolian Mornings

This collection was born from a journey through Turkiye last year. You can read my original travel notes and see the street photography that inspired these paintings here: Turkiye .

Artist scrapbook page with a high-res scan of cappadocia painting and digital painting. A photograph of the artist taking photo during sunset. The overlaid text reads: 'Arriving in the afternoon, we managed to catch a glimpse of sunset
Artist scrapbook page with series photographs of dogs in cappadocia during sunrise. The overlaid text reads: They look adorable but aggressive

Cappadocia has a way of staying with you long after the dust has settled on your boots. These sketches and photos are my way of holding onto the light over the fairy chimneys and the quiet of the mornings. I hope these visuals brought a bit of that Anatolian magic to your day.

Are you a fellow traveller or a dreamer from afar? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. :)

More aboout my trip in Turkey here ! And the story behinds my very first painting of cappadocia.
